Ain’t that the truth!
What’s that saying? Cry and you cry alone, laugh and the whole world laughs with you?
Have you ever noticed though that our moods are almost as contagious as the common cold?
If you’re in a bad mood then those around you will catch it and be in a bad mood too.
If you’re in a good mood then those around you are too.
Curious, isn’t it?
I never realized that my life’s motto was actually part of a quote from somebody else!
I work with a bunch of people who somehow think that outworking the other shifts is what life’s all about, it isn’t. I’ll check the count sheet at the beginning of the shift and see how much others have done but I don’t particularly care because I know what I did the last time I was there and I know I can do the same, if not better and I just go about my business and doing my own thing.
Life’s about living the best you possibly can, the heck with what other people think about what you’re doing.
You’ve gotta love Jonathon Winters!
My love of Mr. Winters aside this quote is so true!
I would imagine that waiting for success is akin to waiting for a watched pot to boil. In other words it’ll happen but the wait will seem to take forever because you aren’t occupying yourself with doing things to make that success happen sooner.
Of course, it might not happen if you don’t plug in the kettle or turn on the burner just like success won’t happen if you don’t do something in order to make it happen in the first place.
«Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience, trial, and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.»
— Helen Keller
Hellen Keller, and Don Charisma, said a mouthful with the above quote.
I have read, and watched, the Hellen Keller story many times and I always love it.
Sorry for missing the posting this morning sigh. I had several posts scheduled ahead of time and somehow I missed today with my scheduling.
I guess I’ll be spending this weekend flipping between editing some fanfiction, writing some more posts to schedule and just some R&R since it’s been a hectic week work wise.
If any of you are religious to some degree could you please send some healing thoughts/energy/prayers to my friend who’s mom is in her last days and he and his family need a sense of calm while they go through these last days with her. Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.
I may expand on this post later but my brain is jumping all over the place so now is not the best time for me to try to string together a more coherent post.
Have a good weekend.
I saw this on twitter today and thought I would share it with the rest of you.
In other words: be grateful your alive if you can’t find anything else to be grateful for. Personally, I’m grateful for the sun shining in my windows, the birds chirping outside, the electricity so I can show this to y’all, my family, friends, good health…it’s a really long list.
I’ve heard this before and I must say: if it weren’t for the for the one doing ‘it’ then nothing would EVER get done!
