Plagiarism at its finest! 😦

Please, if you have the time beta read for her!

Share the crap out of her post!

I received an update earlier today and the laws are not in her favor since this started as fanfiction!

In this case, beta reading simply means you get an advanced copy of the book (ePub, mobi, .pdf, what have you), you read it and you post a review on Amazon the day of publication (or within a day or two). It really is that simple.

If memory serves: Save Me is an excellent weekend read, or for the beach, or the pool, or just when you have some downtime.

We don’t want one of our finest writers to be pushed aside because somebody decided they liked her work enough to publish it for themselves! Her heart and soul went into this story, she’s awfully proud of it, and she should get the recognition for the hard work put into this story. Not somebody who simply sat at their computer with a split screen of Word (or G-Docs or other word processing program) on one side and the browser on the other and copied, word for word (changing only the names) Just Wandering’s heart felt story of heart break, healing and recovery!

Please, help her! Whether it’s beta’ing the story and posting a review, reading the fanfiction and reviewing, or words of encouragement! All help and encouragement is greatly appreciated!

Important Update! | Midnight Opheliac

Guess who’s back with Ethereal Redemption?! Midnight Opheliac! WOOT!

Welcome back! I’m more than happy to be working with you. Ethereal Redemption is one of my favorite stories, even though I haven’t read it nearly often enough :(.

I’m helping her clean up the original chapters and come up with some twists and turns and surprises for the last few chapters.

Hi everyone, I know I haven’t posted in a few months but things have been progressing well here behind the scenes. First of all, I’d like y’all to give a super warm welcome to my …

WANT FOLLOWERS? | Eric Schlehlein, Author/Freelance writer

I have blogged before about how to gain followers. Here is another blogger, who doesn’t enjoy what he’s doing but does it anyway, who has of the same thoughts.

He’s also expanded on what I’ve thought but may not have said: interact with the community. Let even those who like a post without commenting or following, know that you have seen them, let them know that you appreciate the fact they lead a busy life and still took the time to click a little button.

Read others blogs and like and comment on them; they will appreciate it just as much as you do.

When you leave a like or comment the blogger gets a notification that your online persona did so: It’s like a business card. When you’re at a function for your work, you carry business cards so those you interact with have a way to get in touch with you after the fact.

That’s what this is about: interacting with those who have some of the same interests and giving them a way to get in touch with you. While visiting their site counts in their statistics, actually leaving your footprint in some way lets them know WHO was there instead of just a nameless click.

WordPress Meet and Greet – All Bloggers Welcome | HarsH ReaLiTy

It seems these online ‘Meet and Greets’ happen a lot more frequently than I thought.

These meets are a small part of why I keep this, and other, sites running: to help others find a way to connect with those who may have something in common with them.

So, if you wish to do a little self-promotion or find others who share an interest feel free to leave a link (my spam filter catches anything with two or more links) or go to HarsH ReaLiTy or any of the others who do this and click away :).

Press This vs Reblog

Someone mentioned in a post the other day that self hosted WordPress blogs don’t have the reblog button so I thought I would give you an alternative which works on ALL sites.

I present to you the Press This button!

I just learned that WordPress has been changing things again sigh.

Any way, click Settings on your dashboard: It’s near the bottom.

This will bring up another screen in another tab or widow which looks like: Screenshot 2015-07-01 06.57.18

Click the Writing tab on the above screen which should look something like below.

Press This

Press This is a bookmarklet: a little app that runs in your browser and lets you grab bits of the web.

Use Press This to clip text, images and videos from any web page. Then edit and add more straight from Press This before you save or publish it in a post on your site.

Drag-and-drop the following link to your bookmarks bar or right click it and add it to your favorites for a posting shortcut.

Press This

Press this is at the bottom of the tab and looks like a button. Click on it and drag it up to your bookmarks bar as stated above.

When you click Press This when on a site it will bring up a box which is much bigger than the Reblog box.

Why is it bigger? You have more options. You can write your thoughts on the page as you do with Reblog BUT you can add your tags and categories as you do with a regular post. This works whether it’s a WordPress site, a self hosted site or somewhere else altogether.

The only issue I have with the Press This button is that I can’t schedule when a post goes out; I can only save it as a draft or publish it immediately. I’m a big believer in scheduling my posts because I can make my posts when I have the time and schedule them for when I want them to go out thus not inundating your inboxes with many posts in a day and then having a draught where none go out for weeks.

I don’t Reblog while mobile since it’s from my phone and the buttons are too small to be useful but there is nothing wrong with Reblogging, I just prefer Press This because of the increased options I have there.

Oh, and WordPress? I do NOT like the new posting page or the new settings page! Please, give us the option of the old version of Settings and Posting/Pages! They don’t have as many options as I want and actually use!

I stand with my cousin though we’re hundreds of miles apart physically and want to share his views on what America (and Canada) are coming to when we can’t show our support by doing something as simple as displaying our country’s flag in support.

My boyfriend brought this home from work with him today.

It is our true life story, lmao.

Quite often I’ll get a massage at bed time and frequently I will either be a puddle of goo or fall asleep at his ministrations.

Yes, his hands should be insured and I’m not the only one who thinks so.

The Right Way To Love God? « FreedHearts

The Right Way To Love God? « FreedHearts.

This post seems to fall in line, at least a little, with my views.
For a very long time now I’ve felt that each and every religion is really worshiping the same Deity no matter the name they actually give him/her/shim.
God, Jehovah, The Great Donut King in the Sky and all the others, organized or not, that worship some form of God are really only worshiping the same being.
I realize this is not a popular view, and in some cultures would probably at least get me stoned, but it is my view regardless.
Thank you.  I’ll be Pressing This so I can add my own views and this comment.

I wrote the above in the comments section.

The title is misleading IMO.

If you read the blog you will see that you can love God regardless of your affiliations.

To me faith, or Christianity if you prefer, is a private thing.  I do occasionally discourse with family and friends about my beliefs but for the most part my faith is just that, MY faith.  I believe in an all powerful being but that being is called many different things by many different religions.

Just because that Being is called so many different things does not mean it is not the same Being though.

Look at it this way:  Mom is still Mom whether she’s called by her name, Mom, Mum, chauffeur, coach or teacher.  It’s the same with God.  God is still God whether you call him/her/shim God, Jehovah or The Great Donut King in the Sky.

I don’t think the Being is offended by all the different names as long as they/we are thinking about him/her/shim.

Yes, I realize this is not a popular view and I realize that in some cultures this view would mean at least a stoning for being so blasphemous as to not acknowledge that ‘fill in the Deity’s true name’ is the one true Deity but these are my thoughts and I own them.
