My 2 Cents’ Worth: With Benefits

With Benefits

I was always a good girl. All proper and polite, apologies and smiles. You know the type – getting home early, no parties, no smoking, no hard drinking. No sex. That’s how I used to be. And look where it got me. Maybe it was time to stop trying so hard and let loose. Maybe it was time for change. Bill could go f..k himself. I had a better plan. And it didn’t include him.

This story preempts Club Dead, totally rewriting it and, in my not so humble opinion, kardamon has done a totally awesome job of it.

Sookie is still stubborn and still struggling with her feelings but she doesn’t let that stop her from making a deal with everybody’s favourite Viking Sex God; a deal which benefits both of them but who wins in the end?  We discover just why she is reluctant to open her heart to anyone and take the roller coaster ride of life right along with her.

Come and have some fun with Sex Kitten Sookie, get serious with working Sookie, cry when she’s had a hard day, relive her terror with her:  all in all a well written story which I hope will win a Fangy this year.  Once I figure how to nominate I will be doing so.

Give me some sugar!
