The Green Dagger

Another 5 star review!

This is the second 5 star review I have given for author Kelly Hess and his Black Myst Trilogy!

The first  review was for The Eyes Of the Enemy back in July

The Green Dagger is targeted for older children but is still a quick and enjoyable read for those of us who are still young at heart.

This book is about young Fritz Daggard, lifelong friend of Beynn Firehand, and the fight for his very sanity.

In The Eyes Of the Enemy Fritz gained possession of what he thought was just a pretty little dagger.  Back then he was just a young boy out on an adventure with his friend but things turned deadly.

Now it is five years later  and Fritz is still in possession of that pretty little dagger but he has learned through the trials of life that it is much more than that. The dagger holds his very life in its blade; to be parted from it would mean his death.

He has changed in the last five years and not for the better.  He has turned into an angry, bitter young man but he wants to change that.  Fritz wants to regain control of his life but is he willing to do what needs to be done in order to do so?

We meet new characters and new species.  We learn about deception, trust and betrayal in an intriguing story that had me from the first word to the last; I was hard pressed to put this story down.

The Green Dagger will be available December 2, 2014; just in time to be a Christmas present for the young reader on your list.
