Highlander: Series 2

by

Marti Talbott

I admit it; I’m addicted to the Highlander series!

Ms. Talbott has a wonderful way of weaving the story of one character into the story as a whole. These books may be short stories of single individuals but the same characters are threaded through each of the shorts and I couldn’t be more pleased!

Series 2 is about four women: Maree, Gillie, Jessup and Glenna.

Maree was born a MacGregor. She was the story teller whom all the children, and even the adults, loved.

Gillie was born a despised MacDonald yet she helped the MacGregor escape their clutches.

Jessupp was born an English gentle lady so why did they find her beaten and tied to a tree?

Glenna was born a Larmont far from the MacGregor homeland so how did she end up married to their Laird?

The Highlander Series does not disappoint. Each short story is a quick read and wholly entertaining by itself. When you put them together you get a fuller picture of the people and the clan.
