The Warlord’s Queen

by

J. M. & E. Keep

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy.

Wow! A wonderful addition to the Keep’s ever growing list of written works.

It isn’t as dark as The Warlord’s Concubine but it is still dark enough to sate that place deep inside that demands a little bit of debauchery once in a while.

The Warlord and the former slave; what better subject to write a book, or a series, about?

Will the former slave come into her own and earn the trust and respect of her now subjects?

Will the God-King earn the trust and respect of his new subjects?

I was on the edge of my seat sometimes, squinting and trying to see through to the end of the passage, trying to foretell whether or not he, she or they would come out victors.

I have to say: In the end The Warlord’s Queen was better than Warlord’s Concubine!

I was part of the story as he, she or they came up against an obstacle. I urged them onward, to see it through. I suffered along with them. I wished for the things they were wishing for. I was there with them when…well, just read it yourself, you’ll see what I mean.
