Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the results are in!
I present to you, Over the Rainbow, with many thanks to The Non-Canon Awards for this awesome contest and to Lady Tarara for collaborating with me and having such wonderful ideas! The story will eventually continue but we both have real life to contend with so it may be a while. Enjoy!
Thank you to Drunk On Life for this.
Reblog doesn’t allow me to save then go in and add stuff nor does it allow me to schedule a post :(.
Press This doesn’t give a Title to click although it gives everything else sigh. Oops, yes it does, lol, as long as you don’t tell the selector that it’s a link post! shaking my head
The pix are great and the idea of a mini Mardi Gras along a bike/pedestrian trail is unique enough that it caught my attention.
Wish I could have been there.
-Woot! 11-17-15 I received my 1000th like!
Thank you all!
I never thought I’d reach that milestone, not that I was trying because I wasn’t, but it’s nice to know that others are reading what I put out there.
Thank you again.
As an aside: today would have been my dad’s 73rd birthday. Happy birthday, dad, wherever you are.
That’s right, I have finally posted another fanfiction story review for your perusal. Enjoy.
I wanted to share this for Nationa Reading Month. Unfortunately, that isn’t until March and this is way too cool to wait!
I’d support this in a heartbeat!
Definitely healthier all the way around than the candy bars and chips you can find in most vending machines. Or even that AWFUL vending machine coffee! Yuck!
This might be an idea for museums, historic trails and such. It would give us a tangible memento of where we were as well as reference material for the writers, researchers and students who have to do a paper.
What say you all?
Super-short fiction that’s as good as any snack
a study reported that hired assassins had extremely low divorce rates which I found surprising since they’re… oh
You don’t say! Whoda thunk it?
Where has the year gone?
Just yesterday my now 20-year-old sons were born.
Just yesterday they started kindergarten.
Just yesterday they were bowling and playing hockey.
Just yesterday they graduated high school.
Now they are grown into handsome and responsible young men. Now they are both working and paying their bills. Now they are taking their girlfriends out for dinner. One of them has his driver’s license and a vehicle.
It seems these online ‘Meet and Greets’ happen a lot more frequently than I thought.
These meets are a small part of why I keep this, and other, sites running: to help others find a way to connect with those who may have something in common with them.
So, if you wish to do a little self-promotion or find others who share an interest feel free to leave a link (my spam filter catches anything with two or more links) or go to HarsH ReaLiTy or any of the others who do this and click away :).
I’ve done articles before on how to promote your blog and this is one of the best ways to do so.
Comment on others posts. It puts your name or brand out there. I know when I see a new commenter or that someone new has started following me I get curious: I want to see who they are and what they have to offer me as a person. I click their name or site and visit them.
Commenting on all those posts that end up in your inbox every day can get time-consuming BUT if you pick and choose and give yourself a time limit so you don’t get sucked in too deep it can bring you more clicks, visits and maybe more comments yourself :).
Source: Scared Little Dragon
What do little dragons dream about? What would scare them? What would have them ask their parents to check under their beds and in their closets?
Bottles of water which a Knight In Shining Armour could use to douse its flames.
Princesses dressed all in pink or peach who don’t know how to save themselves.
Rapunzel, who could save herself but waits for her Knight anyway.
Dragons don’t sleep on a bed, they sleep on heaps of gold so they would be dreaming that they wake up and all their gold is actually fool’s gold.
They dream of the Fire Breath Thief, coming to steal their spark.
They dream they are human and have a Fire Breathing Dragon coming to snatch them away, never to be heard of again.
They dream of the Scale Rot Monster, which makes their parents take them to the vet.
They dream of rooms of asbestos so they can’t escape the Ice Monster.
Finally, they dream of the Sandman, coming to steal their dreams.
