I am in love!
Who is it you may ask.
It’s not a person or a place.
Two awesome people pointed me in the direction of Grammarly, and I have to say; it catches a lot of stuff I miss. Especially commas or lack thereof.
I can use it directly in Word, or I can copy and paste into the browser from my G-docs. ❤
Why did it take me so long to find you, Grammarly?
1. Thank the giver and link their blog to your post.
- Answer the 3 original questions and then the 3 new questions from your nominator given to you.
Nominate your 6 favorite bloggers! In your nominees I would like for you to think at the light emanating from the stars the ones that truly touch your soul with their work, the ones that are the light for you a true STARLIGHT Blogger.
Please pass the award on to 6 or more other Bloggers of your choice and let them know that they have been nominated by you.
Include the logo of the award in a post or on your Blog, please never alter the logo, never change the 3 original questions answer that first then answer the 3 new questions from your nominator and never change the Award rules.
Please don’t delete this note:
The design for the STARLIGHT Bloggers Award has been created from YesterdayAfter. It is a Copyright image, you cannot alter or change it in any way just pass it to others that deserve this award.
Ajoobacats, thank you SO much! These awards mean a lot to me.
The Original Questions
1. If you could meet anyone from throughout history, who and why?
The creators of the Declaration Of Independence. I would love to see into their minds, learn their motivations for creating the Declaration then get their thoughts on how we’re slowly losing those rights.
2. What is your favorite book and why?
I have three.
Karen by Marie Killillea. It reminds me that there is always somebody who’s worse off than I am yet they still persevere and make it through to the other side.
I Heard the Owl Call My Name by Margaret Craven. It reminds me that life has a shelf life. We’re only here for so long before we’re called back home so we might as well make the best of the time we’re given.
and Dark Lover by J. R. Ward. Romance. Vampires. Need I say more :D.
3. Who is your favorite fiction character from any medium and why?
Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter franchise. We’re a lot alike. We go with the flow. We’re loyal to our friends and family and we like to live in our own little world most of the time.
1. Is there a genre you have tried to read multiple times but just have never got into? Why do you think this is?
I’ve only tried Occult Fantasy once. I made it through the book and reviewed it but it is certainly not one I can get into from the first words. I love the author’s other works but this one just didn’t sit well with me.
2. How do you pick your next read? Is it chronological or based on the mood the last book left you in?
Most of the time I pick whatever sounds good when I’m going through my library, unless it’s a series and I have the next one then I go with the next in the series.
3. What do Blog Awards mean to you?
Blog awards mean a lot. I’ve only gotten two but they were wholly unexpected. They mean someone’s paying attention when I post something or when I reply to what they’ve written. They know that when I say something it’s not just words, I mean every one of them.
1. What other interests or hobbies do you have?
2. What was the inspiration for your blog name?
3. What is your favorite and least favorite book and why?
My Six Nominations
First of all; today’s Fanfiction Minions post is up.
If you have gone to the site rather then reading in email lately you will have seen that I’ve made some changes.
I’m still writing; just not exclusively Eric and Sookie and certainly not exclusively in the SVM/TB fandom. Those stories are still in me a little bit but I feel I’ve written all there is for me to write in that vein, especially since so many others do it so much better than I ever could.
I have written a story for The Non-Canon Awards The Villain’s Turn contest. The link will lead you to the first story.
In the last year or so I have written for several contests and had fun writing each of them.
There have even been a couple of crack fics written because of inspiration from someone else’s story or prompt and I wrote Birthday Surprise for the recent Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood Fanfiction Exchange. Fairy Tale Amber wrote Pledge To A Viking for me during the exchange :D.
If you want to see all my contest entries they can be found on my Brag Page.
Why am I changing things?
My own focus has gone from writing what I love to reading what I love and I’m hoping to reflect that with the changes.
I am still writing and they will be posted here as time, life and deadlines/voting permit.
I am still posting the bi-weekly updates on Fanfiction Minions.
Any recipes will be posted at Kittyinaz’s Food Group Blog.
Natsgirl1 has reached the end of The Far Reach. I can’t recommend this series highly enough, and that’s not just because I beta it either. It truly is a wonderful idea. The first of the series is Swimming For the Light and the final story, A Distant Horizon will be starting sometime next month.
I will be doing The Ultimate Blog Challenge this time around but I will be doing it over at This ‘N That to help me continue posting over there and to maybe meet others who have varied interests as well.
This ‘n That was started as a way to delve into my other interests without boring those of you who have found me here at SVM and TB Stories. Stories is a niche site and I didn’t want to take away from that plus This ‘n That is my way of paying a small tribute to the late, great Ericizmine.
As most of you know she had many interests and her interest was shown in her writing. Well, the first story of hers I ever read was Sinners and Saints and there is a line in there where Sookie is asked what she’s been up to. Her answer was ‘A little of this and a little of that’. The web address is lilathisnalilofthat as the tribute.
I’m getting distracted by new and shiny so I’ll sign off for now and see you in a lil bit over at This ‘n That :).
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Since some posts aren’t hitting inboxes when they should…and look! With the new reblog button I suddenly have the ability, AGAIN, to choose which blog I want to post to! Thank you WordPress!
Happy first day of fall! I hope this post finds you with more temperate weather than we had this summer.
Secondly, if you want WordPress to do something about the missing comment boxes message them @wordpressdotcom on Twitter. I have done this: they told me my site had the comment boxes *sigh*. 149 characters is NOT enough space. You might want to send the links to sites that are having the issue, specifically the page/post that currently does not have the comments enabled before the issue is fixed so they can see. They DO reply back, usually within 24 hours.
Thirdly, WordPres is glitching. Again. Not all updates are landing in inboxes even though they have been set to do so. So, if your story was published between Sunday, September 20 and today and didn’t make into this post please let me know.

Thank you Fairy Tale Amber! I’m looking forward to the rest of the story.
She hasn’t posted it to her site yet so the above link takes you to the story on the Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood Fanfiction Exchange site, I’ll update the link once I have the one for Fairy Tale Amber’s wordpress site.
Truly, I love it and can’t wait to see more of the story.
There really were a lot of totally awesome stories written for this first Exchange which was hosted by the totally awesome Queen Of Area 5.
Author Reveal will take you to the post of who wrote what and for whom.
Well done everyone! I hope the next one has just as awesome a turn out as this one did!
I wrote a story for the recent SVM/TB Fic Exchange.
All the stories were totally awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them.
Birthday Surprise is the story I wrote. It ended up being for everybody since the person who requested it dropped out but I still had fun writing it.
Huge thank yous go to Queen Of Area 5 for hosting this exchange; I’m already looking forward to the next one!
Thank you goes to the person who had the original concept for this story, to my boyfriend Breathes for bouncing ideas, innuendoes and puns back and forth with me to get this story just right and to Natsgirl1 for giving it the once over for me.
I have a new recipe for you. Gluten Free Pancakes.
I’m also letting you all know that my recipe sharing is going over to kittysfoodblog. She asked for the help and I offered. Between the lot of us: me, kittyinaz, Miss Alice Unsub and a few others we have a plethora of recipes either gathered from other sources or created by us so we decided to combine forces.
Enjoy! And please, come and visit us at the food blog or like the facebook page .
They are BOTH confusing…makes me wonder if the same people developed both.
I upgraded to WIN10 back in July and I actually do like it, better than 8.1 at any rate.
I posed a question a few days ago on the Microsoft forums: How to cross post a web note to places LIKE WordPress, my email and other places.
Their response? Visit WordPress forums since their better supported!
I asked the company how to use a particular aspect of their product and they refer me to a totally different product?
Shaking My head.
